Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is organising the Sustainability Leadership Conference in cooperation with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, at the Address hotel, Dubai, on 15—16 March 2017. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has been invited by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) to be part of the Standards Pioneers programme, which brings together the leading global organisations in sustainability, to be among only 100 organisations from around the world to implement GRI's new international standards before it becomes obligatory by the end of June 2018.

Dubai Electricity and Water (DEWA) organised a workshop entitled, ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ in cooperation with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), an institution within the University of Cambridge. The workshop introduced the 17 goals of sustainable development adopted by the United Nations for the year 2030, particularly with regards to sustainability and climate change. The workshop supports DEWA’s commitment to promote the Emirate’s leading global position and the national goals for a sustainable future.
