Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has concluded its successful participation in the 5th Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE), which was held from 2-4 April 2017 under the theme ‘National Governments… Global Achievements’. DEWA’s stand attracted many visitors who commended its innovative projects and initiatives, and actively took part in discussions, lectures, and workshops that were organised by DEWA and supervised by specialists, experts, and media figures.

DEWA launches children’s interactive book to explain concepts of science, technology and engineering

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) launched an interactive story titled, ‘Hamad and Dana Discover Solar Energy,’ to explain the concepts of science, technology, and engineering to children. The move supports the UAE wise leadership’s efforts to instil a culture of reading and spread knowledge among younger generations. The book incorporates a simple scientific layout, with plenty of graphics and s and a scientific kit for experiments. The story revolves around two hardworking children and their parents, who are positive role models to the family.

DEWA sustainable development & environmental projects add to Hatta Development Plan

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has approved a number of leading projects to be implemented in Hatta to achieve Dubai’s development plans, and the Comprehensive Development Plan for Hatta. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the plan to boost the area’s social and economic capabilities and enhance its attractiveness as a world-class tourist destination.
