Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is highlighting its latest renewable-energy innovative projects at the 10th World Future Energy Summit (WFES), which is organised by Masdar, Abu Dhabi's multi-faceted renewable energy company, from 16-19 January 2017 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. DEWA is the efficiency sponsor of WFES 2017.

DEWA sustainable development & environmental projects add to Hatta Development Plan

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has approved a number of leading projects to be implemented in Hatta to achieve Dubai’s development plans, and the Comprehensive Development Plan for Hatta. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the plan to boost the area’s social and economic capabilities and enhance its attractiveness as a world-class tourist destination.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has today participated in the MEED Leaders in Energy Reform Summit, DEWA is the official sponsor of the summit, which attracted a number of prominent decision makers in the region. It discussed the best solutions to meet the region’s growing energy demand, by making major reforms in this sector, diversifying the energy mix, increasing energy efficiency, and enhancing support and funding by the private sector.

Ministry of Climate Change and Environment to sponsor project of Carbon Ambassadors Programme

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment will sponsor the Sustainable Agriculture Container, a project developed by the second batch of the Carbon Ambassadors Programme. The project aims to transform used service containers into sustainable agricultural containers, to spread environmental awareness, and encourage people to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle.
