Alfa, managed by Orascom Telecom informs its subscribers in Keserwan, Byblos and North Lebanon that a malfunction that occurred on the Ogero fiber optics network, which feeds the Alfa network, has caused a slowdown in the internet services in these areas.

Alfa is closely coordinating with the Ministry of Telecommunications (MoT) and Ogero on this matter

Alfa warns of fraudulent messages holding the name of its CEO

Alfa, managed by Orascom Telecom, would like to warn its subscribers of the circulation of fraudulent messages via Viber and similar messaging platforms. These messages, which falsely claim to come from Alfa or from its Chairman and CEO, Mr. Marwan Hayek, claiming to offer the chance to those who dial an international telephone number included in the message to win various prizes on the occasion of the company’s 16th anniversary. The fraud’s victims are then told to visit the company’s headquarters to collect their reward.
