Arab Companies showcases products at São Paulo Supermarket Association Fair

Leading companies from UAE, Jordan, and Tunisia to participate

The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) has facilitated the participation of Arab companies at the Apas Fair held by the São Paulo Supermarket Association (Apas) from May 2 to 5, 2016 at Expo Center Norte, São Paulo. Leading companies from the UAE, Jordan, and Tunisia are participating in the event and showcasing their products in the ABCC stand which span 98 square meters on the expo’s white pavilion.

DEWA organises Innovation Camps

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has successfully organised a series of innovation camps, at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dubai, to improve its services and explore new ways of providing innovative services in a more efficient, and comfortable way based on the highest international standards of achieving happiness for all people. The move comes in line with the National Innovation Strategy to make the UAE one of the most innovative countries in the world.

DEWA Receives 5 bids for Phase III of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received 5 bids from international organisations for the third phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, said HE Saeed Mohammed AlTayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. The lowest recorded bid at the opening of the envelopes was US 2.99 cents per kilowatt hour. The next step in the bidding process will review the technical and commercial aspects of the bids to select the best one.

DEWA honours 15 recipients of the International Expert ITIL Certificate

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honoured 15 employees from its IT division for receiving the International Expert ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certificate. They were awarded the certificates for applying the best international practices in IT service management. This supports DEWA’s ongoing efforts to improve the skills of employees.

Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Department of Nursing holds graduation ceremony for fifth batch of ‘Leadership for Change’ graduates

The Ministry of Health and Prevention held a graduation ceremony for the fifth batch of the ‘Leadership for Change’ participants at the Sharjah Training and development Center in collaboration with the International Nursing Council. The attendees included Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for the Hospitals Sector, and Dr. Sumaya Mohammed Al Balushi, Director of the Department of Nursing.

UAE delegation to WSIS Forum 2016 in Geneva

The UAE’s 39 delegates to the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum taking place from May 2 to 6, 2016 in Geneva, Switzerland. WSIS Forum 2016 is the latest edition of the leading global forum for ICT-driven development. It is co-organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Development Programme (UNDP), and the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in collaboration with various WSIS Action Line Facilitators and Co-Facilitators.
