Zaitunay Bay

For 5 days, design and creativity took over Zaitunay Bay which hosted from the 27th till the 31st of May the third edition of Beirut Designers' Week by Gata, the biggest and most important platform showcasing the creations of up-and-coming designers in Lebanon, in collaboration with Solidere and Beirut Waterfront Development.

In the presence of the Minister of Tourism Mr. Michel Pharaon and the Economic Affairs’ Advisor at the Ministry of Economy & Trade Professor Jassem Ajaka, Beirut Designers’ Week by Gata officially kick-started today at Zaitunay Bay during an official opening ceremony attended by Mrs. Sandra Ghattas, GATA Events & Promotions’ Managing Director, Mr. Mounir Doueidy, General Manager of Solidere, key representatives from Beirut Waterfront Development Company in addition to the exhibitors, the media, the sponsors and social figures.

Le Yacht Club-Beirut was inaugurated on April 24, 2014 under the patronage and in the presence of his Excellency President Michel Sleiman, accompanied  by some officials Messrs Samir Mokbel, Deputy Prime Minister, Michel  Pharaon, Minister of Tourism, and Nazem El Khoury, advisor to the president to cite a few. Were also present members of the Board of Directors of Beirut Waterfront Development sal, the owning and developing Joint venture between Stow and Solidere, Messrs Mohamad Safadi, Walid Daouk, Dr.

On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, the Blue Energy Team of the Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand & Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace extended their support to the Lebanese Autism Society by participating in the launch event of their 12 day Autism Awareness Campaign that took place in Zaitunay Bay on April 2^nd, 2014. In honor of this occasion, Hilton Hotels Beirut Blue Energy Team, all dressed in blue,spent time with autistic children and their families and took part of all the activities planned for the day.
