Under the scope of establishing a new dynamic strategy to enhance the touristic image of Lebanon and show the local sector skills in providing the best and most diverse services in several related fields, the Ministry of Tourism launches the events of “Visit Lebanon 2017”, a one-of-a-kind project in the region. After the meeting held by the Ministry of Tourism, that gathered the Ministry itself along with “Globe Network”, syndicates and companies working on this new project, “Globe Network” was appointed by the Ministry for the implementation and organization of the upcoming events. In fact, Mr. Avedis Guidanian, Minister of Tourism, succeeded in mobilizing outstanding support from specialists in the hospitality industry and touristic activities from Lebanon and abroad who saluted the Ministry’s initiative.
In addition, Lebanese Minister of Tourism Guidanian stated that this touristic project, involving more than 150 international companies with high experience in tourism marketing, conferences, celebrations and travels is an important step in placing Lebanon on the global tourism map, and it will especially promote Lebanon as a touristic destination. Guidanian also mentioned that this project represents an advanced and practical platform to show effective institutions operating abroad, what Lebanon is capable of providing, in general, as a leading destination and a touristic hub, thanks to its strategic location in the region, which allows him to play a key role in hosting events and international high level conferences.
The Minister finally added that “Visit Lebanon 2017” will bring together, under the scope of the specialized B2B work, international companies along with prestigious Lebanese hospitality and tourism institutions, with the aim of creating an effective exchange platform that perfectly reflects Lebanon’s abilities as an integrated touristic destination.
“Visit Lebanon 2017” has attracted the participation of major companies from all over the world. Negotiations with influential parties in countries representing significant tourism value were able to appeal more than 1076 professionals from 73 countries, said Nadim Freiha, founder of “Globe Network”. He pointed out that the forum, organized by “Globe Network” company, will be held for two days on May 25th and 26th at Le Royal Hotel Dbayeh.
The initiative of “Visit Lebanon 2017” is part of a broader program launched by the Ministry of Tourism. The latter actually aims at activating partnerships with foreign touristic institutions and creating areas for tourism cooperation and investment with its counterparts in Lebanon, including hotel owners, tour operators, host agencies, salons and other service providers.
The forum is expected to witness the presence of 150 companies from 42 countries in the world that will be hosted as Hosted Buyers, and will show their greatest potential in promoting Lebanon as a touristic destination in the short and long term. The program of “Visit Lebanon 2017” includes bilateral meetings between enrolled international companies and registered Lebanese institutions to discuss specific topics that may lead to agreements in the touristic field. In this context, guided tours are also being prepared for the Lebanese regions and the main touristic sites of the country, hosting a group of Hosted Buyers who will share, in the best way possible, their Lebanese experience with their different countries.
Events and guided tours planned on the sidelines of “Visit Lebanon 2017” were able to gather the support of distinguished partners including, mainly, the Casino du Liban, Eddésands, Music Hall, Le Royal Hotel, Phoenicia Hotel, al-Arabi, al-Ferdaouss, Bab al-Bahr, Azzi Holiday, Exclusive Services Group, Nakhal, Kurban Travel, Léna and Saad tours. Middle East Airlines is considered to be the official conveyor of “Visit Lebanon 2017”.
“Globe Network” organized several exhibitions in Europe and North Africa such as Pure Meetings & Events in Paris and the Meetings Morocco in Marrakech, where the Forum of the International Meetings of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean was held. The company will be promoting the event worldwide while managing its meetings and attracting Hosted Buyers.
