The second day of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2018 (ADIBS) organised by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), witnessed high visitor’s footfall and exciting product launches of the latest exclusive editions of luxury yachts and boats by leading regional and international companies. The 31,000 square meter ADNEC marina came alive with the sights and sounds of the much-awaited event, as a range of watersport and leisure marine activities kept everyone entertained.

The event which will be on until 20th October 2018 at ADNEC will comprise exclusive boat and yacht shows. The Latest fishing and watersports equipment will be on display along with the participation of 270 exhibitors from 25 countries from the region, across Europe and America. The show will also host watersports, marine and leisure activities that embody the rich heritage of Abu Dhabi and UAE.

The recognized participation witnessed on the opening day of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show continues on the second day with the launch of a series of leisure marine and entertainment events. This reinforces ADNEC’s ability to host major international exhibitions and conferences, with its world-class facilities and advanced infrastructure, to meet the needs of international exhibitors. The two remaining days will include marine, recreational and water sports activities that reflect the rich marine heritage of Abu Dhabi, giving exhibitors and visitors a unique opportunity to witness see the latest boats and yachts in an entertaining and educational setting”.

The second day of the event witnessed several launches, the most prominent of them is the new Marine Academy launched by the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club, in which its dedicated stand displayed the many services it offers, including training courses, marine sports, as well as recreational and community events covering all aspects of the sea. The academy will be based on the Wave Breaker in Abu Dhabi and aims to promote marine sports by hosting a range of trained experts in water sports and marine entertainment activities.

In addition, the event included the Emirates Boats Company’s launch of the world's first luxury boat and yacht range, including the first fully carbon epoxy infused centre-console 48-feet fishing boat built in the UAE; a House Boat by Al Kous; The Sea Star Racing boat, the Sea Star RS boat, the Tullio Abbate Kid and the Elite 27 manufactured by Sulco Arabia, as well as the latest models of the Drone operated Hull cleaner by Keel Crab.

The show also comprised watersports and fishing equipment, live shows by international watersports teams with local and international champions, as well as watersports competitions and recreational activities for the public. Some of the latest marine sports equipment and fishing gear were on show, while live shows, competitions, water sports and leisure activities kept visitors entertained. Some of these activities, the Keel Boats sailing experience; the Mako slingshot experience and a carbon fibre-powered and motorized water skateboard experience.

ADIBS also featured a range of non-motorized water sports and activities by Watercooled, including SUP HITT; SUP core; SUP Fitness; SUP Time Trials; Kayaking; Ecodonuts; Dingy catamaran and Wind- surfing. The activities will also include Seakart experiences; a traditional Abra Experience with Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and an event under the theme ‘Introduction to Boating’ sea trials with Marine Concepts.

Visitors also had the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular Flyboard show by Hydro Water Sports with the participation of world champion Suksan Tonghtai, a performance by the Emirates Autism Chamber and live evening entertainment in an interactive environment.

The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2018, that kicked off on the 17th October and will be run until the 20th October, is unique to Abu Dhabi and the region, providing the ideal platform for marine industry professionals, water sports enthusiasts and families. The show includes a dedicated fishing area that highlights the latest trends, technologies and best practices in the fishing world, as well as competitions and interactive sessions with leading local and international experts. Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase modern fishing equipment directly through exclusive retail outlets. The exhibition is the ideal destination for families to participate in various marine activities and to watch live shows, suitable for all ages. Admission to the event is free for 15-year-olds, accompanied by a parent.
