Winning papers for HBMSU competition focuses on theme of leading transformation to achieve sustainable excellence

UAE, March 29, 2014- The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) announced the winners for ‘Best Paper’ and ‘Best Student Paper’ during the conclusion of the HBMSU Congress held at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, under the patronage of His Highness (HH) Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and President of HBMSU. The submitted papers focused on the theme ‘Leading Transformation to Sustainable Excellence.’

The winners for this year’s ‘Best Paper’ were Prof. Ebrahim Soltani and Dr. Ying Ying Liao (7th Quality Conference in the Middle East) whose research work is titled 'The interplay between service quality, satisfaction, value for money, and behavioral outcomes: Going beyond an aggregate level of analysis'; Danielle Morin and Samie Li Shang Ly of Concordia University, Canada and Jennifer D.E. Thomas of Pace University, US (6th Conference on eLearning Excellence in the Middle East), and their paper entitled, 'The Effect of Delivery Method on Persistence, Performance and Perceptions'; Krishnan Sankaranarayana,  Tawam Hospital, UAE (5th Health and Environment Conference in the Middle East), was cited for their research work entitled, 'A Paradigm Shift from Blame to Fair and Just Culture-A Middle East Hospital experience.'

Meanwhile, the winners of the 'Best Student Paper' award were Fahad Alsaadi (7th Quality Conference in the Middle East) whose research is titled 'An investigation into critical success factors of public service integration: Reflections on conceptual research'; Angela Franklin and Khadeegha Alzouebi of HBMSU (6th Conference on eLearning Excellence in the Middle East), and their research work entitled, 'Sustainability of International Branch Campuses in the United Arab Emirates: A Vision for the Future'; and Amani Alkheeri (5th e-Health and Environment Conference in the Middle East), for her paper entitled, 'Let’s move: enhancing sustained physical activity participation among Emirati children.'
