MD & CEO of DEWA receives Ericsson delegation

As part of a group of visits by prominent companies to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA welcomed a high-level delegation from Swedish company Ericsson. The delegation included Charlotta Sund, Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Group Industry & Society at Ericsson, and Wojciech Bajda, Vice President and Head of the Industry and Society Unit for the Middle East at Ericsson. The visit enhanced cooperation on technology, and allowed both sides to exchange best international practices and experiences. Marwan Bin Haider, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future at DEWA, was also present at the meeting.

Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, noting that DEWA works to enhance cooperation with its partners, to provide its customers and stakeholders with services according to the highest international standards of excellence. This reflects Dubai’s efforts to ensure a sustainable future, and keep pace with the latest developments brought forth by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, by adopting strategies and new technologies. This enables DEWA to take advantage of disruptive technologies for the production, transmission, and distribution of electricity and water. The Swedish delegation highlighted Ericsson’s latest digital technologies, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and Open and Big Data. At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked Al Tayer for his hospitality, and for highlighting DEWA’s latest projects in cooperation with Ericsson.
