John Legend’s fame has been soaring high. He’s been blessed with several awards, including the latest Golden Globe Award and Oscar. His beautiful love song, “All of Me” has been a hit every since it was first played on the radio. For his album, Belaaks 2, Jean-Marie Riachi adopted “All of Me” and spiced it up with a beautiful Middle Eastern mix. It has been a great success every since, still maintaining its position in the Top 5 in iTunes in all regions.
In an interview with Time Out Dubai, Legend speaks of Jean Marie’s remix and says “My record label approached me with the remix and I loved it. I always encourage remixes, especially if they’ll bring the song to a different audience who may not have heard it before”.
Fascinated by this Middle Eastern composition, that encompasses the region’s top Arabic instrumentalists and musicians performing an array of instruments and percussions, John Legend invited Jean-Marie to perform this remix with him at the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival on February 27 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.
Jean Marie, accompanied by his talented Lebanese musicians, performed alongside John Legend, in front of an energetic and soulful crowd that involved over 12 thousand people, all singing along form the bottom of their hearts! John Legend was overwhelmed with joy and thanked Jean Marie for this pleasant collaboration.
This remix of “All of Me” is actually one of the many mesmerizing tracks included in Jean Marie’s sequel of his multi-platinum selling album Belaaks, called Belaaks 2, which is scheduled to be released in Spring 2015.
