The Flower Market Returns to Downtown Beirut

The Flower Market Returns to Downtown Beirut
Beirut Souks will be hosting the Souk Al-Yasmeen, which marks the arrival of spring and the return of the flower market to downtown Beirut. Organised by Solidere in conjunction with the Lebanese Syndicate of Flower and Plant Growers, the market will bring a wide range of cost-price houseplants, cut flowers, garden and potted plants to Fakhry Bey between Friday the 20th and Sunday the 22nd of March. Live musical performances, refreshments by Intabli, bubble-blowers, as well as gardening workshops for children, organised by Planet Discovery, will ensure it offers something for everyone. While this first event is timed to coincide with Mother’s Day, the plan is to establish it as a recurring market- a first in a series of initiatives that bring the street markets back to downtown.
