ROLLS-ROYCE MOTOR CARS RELEASES WRAITH EAGLE VII

To mark the centenary of the first non-stop transatlantic flight, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars released unseen design sketches of its latest Collection Car, Wraith Eagle VIII. The collection of 50 motor cars tells the epic tale of the pioneering flight of Captain John Alcock and Lieutenant Arthur Brown. The duo conquered unchartered skies to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a Vickers Vimy aircraft, powered by twin Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII engines, exactly 100 years ago.

Backseat battles: kids driving their parents to distraction – and danger on the roads, Nissan reveals

More than six in 10 European parents (63%) admit they struggle to fully concentrate on the road when their children are misbehaving in the car.  But even more worrying is that nearly one in three adults (29%) reveal they know they’re less safe behind the wheel as a result, according to new research conducted by Nissan. Parents say the level of distraction means they’ve taken their eyes off the road and their hands off the steering wheel.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled its latest Collection Car, Wraith Eagle VIII, on the shores of Lake Como at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, 24-26 May. Created by the Bespoke Collective at the House of Rolls-Royce, a Collection of just 50 Wraith Eagle VIII motor cars will tell the epic tale of one of the most pivotal moments of the 20th century.

Germany the next step for Nissan e.dams’ Formula E Challenge

Nissan e.dams takes its Formula E challenge to Germany this week with the electric street racing championship staging its penultimate European round at Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport.

Nissan heads to the German capital following its best Formula E result to date in Monaco on May 11 where Oliver Rowland earned his third pole position of the season and finished on the podium in second place. Sebastien Buemi backed that up with a fifth-place finish.

Nissan to equip new Skyline with world’s first next-gen driver assistance system

Nissan unveiled a world first in driver assistance technology, combining navigated highway driving with hands-off single-lane driving capabilities.  

Expanding on the award-winning ProPILOT system, the technology will debut on the Japanese-market Nissan Skyline in the fall of 2019.
