Expo 2020 Dubai: Saudi Arabia wins ‘Best Pavilion’ award

Saudi Arabia’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has won the ‘Best Pavilion’ award, as well as two honorary awards.

The Kingdom was selected by EXHIBITOR magazine, which hands out awards for each edition of the world-famous exhibition.
The Saudi Arabia pavilion won the award in the ‘large suites’ category. It also received honorary awards for best exterior design and best display.

UN-Habitat and CatalyticAction rehabilitate streets and sidewalks in Karantina – making key health facilities more accessible

Today, UN-Habitat and CatalyticAction inaugurated a number of innovatively rehabilitated sidewalks in the neighbourhood of Karantina, close to the Beirut Governmental Hospital, the National HIV and TB Centre and Karantina Public Park. Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology Launches Make it in the Emirates Lab

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has launched the Make it in the Emirates Lab, a new public-private initiative that delivers best-in-class corporate training to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the industrial sector. The training will also be available to select national students to further support and encourage their contribution to the industrial sector upon graduation.

In collaboration with Procter and Gamble, MoIAT kicked off the Access SMEs program within the wider Make it in the Emirates Lab.

UN-Habitat launches new regional project to increase the resilience of displaced persons and host communities in Lebanon & Jordan in addressing climate change-related water challenges

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme’s (UN-Habitat) Regional Office for Arab States and Lebanon Country Programme together with the Lebanese Ministry of Environment, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (UN ESCWA) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) launched a regional project aimed at increasing the capacity of local authorities, displaced persons and host communities in Lebanon to better address climate change related water scarcity.
