Ministry of Economy organizes activities to celebrate International Day of Happiness

The Ministry of Economy held various activities and initiatives promoting happiness and positivity as part of its International Day of Happiness celebration. The events were designed to enhance communication among employees, ensure delivery of quality services, and support key social causes. One of the Ministry’s activities involved visiting a local orphanage to bring joy to the children.

H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy, said that UAE leaders have always prioritized bringing happiness to citizens and building a positive community as advocated by the country’s founding fathers led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Rulers of the Emirates. The government has been working towards this end to make the UAE a global reference for happiness and positivity.

The Minister added that the UAE leadership will continue to develop and bring to new levels the ongoing relevant efforts until happiness and positivity have become institutionalized and a way of life for all individuals. The government is consolidating all nationwide initiatives, giving priority to UAE Nationals to ensure their productivity and contributions to the UAE’s developmental agenda and strategic objectives.

H.E. Al Mansoori added that the UAE has been taking proactive and pioneering steps in this regard, including the establishment of the Ministry of Happiness.

H.E. said: “Building on this unique vision and extraordinary efforts prioritizing the happiness and well-being of the people to make UAE citizens and residents among the happiest in the world, the UAE is celebrating International Day of Happiness by highlighting its sustainable development achievements and their impact economically, socially, culturally, and environmentally. The country has also made major strides in enhancing vital sectors such as education, health, and tourism to ensure society’s prosperity and empowerment.”
