MBRF to host Nobel Museum exhibition in Dubai in new concept and theme for first time in region

  • ‘The Nobel Prize: Ideas Changing the World’ to open doors free of charge for one month from March 29
Dubai, March, 2015:In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) is bringing to Dubai Nobel Museum’s travelling exhibition,‘The Nobel Prize: Ideas Changing the World’. This is the first time the distinguished exhibition is being hosted in a new concept and theme in an Arabic city. jamal-203x300.jpg The exhibition, which sheds light on the elite prize and how the Nobel Prize-winning efforts have shaped the transformation of the world, will be located at the BurjKhalifa district, the tallest building in the world. It will remain open for one month free of charge, starting from March 29, 2015. The exhibition consists of five pavilions dealing with five different themes. The first pavilion offers an introduction to the Nobel Prize and its specific areas. The second pavilion called Alfred Nobel presents Alfred Nobel, his inventions and industrial operations, and the background to his will. The third pavilion, ‘The Nobel Prize Over the Decades’, gives an overview of the history of the Nobel Prize and introduces the Nobel laureates and their work. ‘The Nobel Prize in Our Daily Lives’, the fourth pavilion, demonstrates the link between Nobel Prize-awarded efforts and their phenomena in everyday life. The fifth pavilion is ‘The Nobel Prize and the Future’, which addresses the question of how Nobel Prize-awarded discoveries may affect the future and what future Nobel Prizes may involve. ‘The Nobel Prize: Ideas Changing the World’ exhibition is expected to attract huge number of visitors, especially thinkers, intellectuals and the student community. More than 5 million visitors have seen the exhibition produced by the museum, which describes the work done by more than 800 Nobel Laureates.
