Saudi Health boosts Public-Private Partnership to combat healthcare industry challenges

Event grows 30 per cent amid overwhelming international interest

Riyadh, May 06, 2014 – The Saudi Ministry of Health, in cooperation with Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC) and Informa Life Science Exhibitions, yesterday held a press conference to reveal latest details on the Saudi Health Exhibition & Conference 2014, the largest healthcare event in Saudi Arabia which will take place from May 19 to 21, 2014 at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC). The move is part of the Ministry’s commitment to support the organizer’s vision of “Exhibition with Education” to promote the event’s role in making a positive change to the development of the local healthcare industry while raising the bar on human competences and enabling them to optimally combat existing industry challenges.

Dr. Salah Al-Mazroa, Deputy Minister of Health for Engineering Affairs and Supply for Saudi Arabia, emphasized the importance of the Saudi Health and the unlimited auspices and ongoing support that the Saudi Ministry of Health continues to provide to this event. Saudi Health offers an important forum to boost communication and strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in the Kingdom, as well as to encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise with leading regional and international entities aimed at effectively dealing with the emerging challenges and making best of the available opportunities to promote the healthcare sector in the Kingdom.

Al-Mazroa added that the event provides a new gateway to draw foreign investment into the local healthcare industry, allowing the local market the opportunity to leverage high-level expertise of foreign companies to enhance the healthcare services offered to the local population. Furthermore, Al-Mazroa stressed Saudi Health’s role in promoting partnerships between the Ministry and foreign countries in terms of healthcare services through exchanging expertise and knowledge about the best practices and the latest products, technologies and international trends in the healthcare industry, which is poised to contribute to developing the Saudi healthcare industry.
