We will bring in new training sessions spreading the rescue culture to society

During the delivery of certificates to ER physicians and nurses who completed the ATLS and ATCN training sessions provided by Roads for Life, RFL President Mrs. Zeina Kassem revealed that the association’s participation in the international conference to be held by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in Chicago in March 2018 will allow RFL to bring in new training sessions benefiting various swathes of society.

During the conference, “RFL and the American College of Surgeons – Lebanon Chapter will be recognized as part of the pioneering institutions that laid the foundations of trauma culture in Lebanon,” Kassem said. “Over seven years of rescue work, we have successfully positioned Lebanon among advanced countries in terms of rescue culture, leading to a noticeable reduction of annual human losses due to traffic accidents in our country.”

Kassem delivered certificates to 14 ER physicians and 14 nurses who completed the ATLS and ATCN training sessions respectively at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) thanks to the strategic partnership with Fransabank and Bank Audi. The participants came from the following hospitals: AUBMC, LAU Medical Center – Rizk Hospital, Saint Joseph Hospital, Military Hospital, Sheikh Ragheb Harb Hospital, Ain w Zein Hospital, Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, Sacré-Cœur Hospital, Bahman Hospital, Damour Medical Center, Bellevue Medical Center, Hammoud Hospital and Bekaa Hospital.

As part of the continuing development of nursing skills, RFL had previously delivered certificates to a new batch of participants in its Training of Trainers program.
