HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro arrives in LEBANON to begin new era of Intelligent Smartphones

For the first time, consumers in the region can get a device that will work for them with a faster, intelligent mobile experience powered by HUAWEI’s groundbreaking Kirin AI processor

HUAWEI Consumer Business Group (CBG) has unveiled the world’s most powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) flagship smartphone - the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro - across the Middle East and Africa region.

Featuring Kirin 970, the world’s first smartphone chipset with a dedicated Neural Network Processing Unit, the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro provides a faster, stronger, seamless and more personalized user experience. This intelligent smartphone also optimizes its own performance by predicting its most efficient mode to deliver the ultimate power and speed.

Commenting on the launch of the flagship HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro in the region, Mr. Gene Jiao, President of HUAWEI CBG, Middle East & Africa said: “Consumers in the Middle East and Africa are early adopters of innovative, cutting-edge and advanced technologies. The use of AI in the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro is a big draw for users who want to live an intelligent experience everyday and entrust their smartphones to deliver seamless solutions. With intelligent power, intelligent speed and an intelligent camera, the Mate 10 Pro breaks through boundaries of performance, speed, power, connectivity and ultimately transforms the human-to-machine relationship.”

Intelligent Speed

Powered by the Kirin 970, HUAWEI’s new Mate 10 Pro smartphone System-on-a-Chip (SoC) combines an 8-core CPU, a new generation 12-core GPU, and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), to power AI computing, offering a significantly faster intelligent experience for consumers.

Most importantly, the performance of the Kirin 970 NPU is unparalleled with 25 times that of a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and with 50 times the efficiency of a CPU. Providing the world’s fastest 4.5G experience, the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro only requires a few seconds to load and play 4K online.  The device is also the world’s first smartphone with Dual 4G SIM support enabling each SIM to make calls and browse simultaneously.

2.jpg Intelligent Camera

In partnership with renowned camera maker Leica, the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro features a new Leica Dual camera with SUMMILUX-H lenses, with the world’s largest smartphone aperture of f/1.6 aperture to capture more light in low-light conditions. The sophisticated hardware is accompanied by intelligent software, making the Mate 10 Pro the first intelligent photography smartphone in the world. The intelligent camera takes away the work of adjusting settings away from users by analyzing its environment and making intelligent choices to adapt to settings. AI-powered Real-Time Scene, Object Recognition with Real-Time Auto Settings and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), enables the camera to automatically choose and adjust settings to help users capture better photographs in a range of different environments. Powered by Kirin 970’s dual ISP and Snapshot with AI Motion Detection, Mate 10 Pro users can capture wonderful action moments of children running or playing sports. The camera captures a detailed AI-powered Bokeh Effect for a more natural and detailed transition between background and subject, while the AI-powered Digital Zoom of up to 6x to 10x brings far-off text into clearer focus. Driven by laser focus, phase detection, depth and contrast focus, the powerful zoom also enables zero-lag photography.

The HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro is the world’s first smartphone with an AI-powered Power Management system. Building on the Mate Series’ commitment to long battery life and low power

consumption, the advanced AI-powered Battery Management technology used in the Mate 10 Pro allows for full day use with the 4000mAh battery. AI drives the device to understand what’s important to each user - and in turn, the device monitors, optimizes and prioritizes power management based on those aspects. So instead of worrying about how much battery is being wasted on unused apps or unnecessary background processing, the Mate 10 Pro gives users the peace of mind that their smartphone can keep up with their long days. Powered with HUAWEI SuperCharge technology, the Mate 10 Pro supports 4.5V/5A low-voltage fast charging. A 10-minute charge powers the battery to 20 percent, while a 30-minute charge powers the battery to 58 percent. The battery remains at a low temperature during fast charging to ensure safety.

The HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro merges futuristic features and futuristic design with a 3D Glass Body, made of glass front and back, beautifully curved on all four edges, creating an ultra-premium feel with a thin, sleek and comfortable grip. It is also IP67 Water and Dust Resistant for everyday use.
