Grand Cinemas, the region’s leading name in cinema entertainment, has announced the winner of its third annual ‘Live the Cannes Experience with Grand Cinemas’, rewarding movie-goers with an all-expense-paid trip for two to the world’s most prestigious film festival. The winner, Katia Jafal, will be joining international celebrities and filmmakers on the red carpet of the 69th Cannes Film Festival, taking place from the 11th till the 22nd of May 2016.

The three-week campaign, launched in April, drew a record-breaking 5,000 participants, and was concluded first of May at Grand Cinemas ABC Dbayeh. Film-goers participated in the activation by purchasing a special Cannes Edition voucher from any Grand Cinemas location, and scanning the QR code with their mobile phones. The LBP8,000 Cannes’ voucher, at the same time, a valid cinema ticket, enlisted its holder for a chance to win instant prizes and the dreamy trip.

“At Grand Cinemas, we live by our promise—‘Always Entertaining’—and we continue to deliver on that promise by offering Lebanese movie-goers the most innovative entertainment experiences,” said Carly Ramia, co-owner and marketing director at Grand Cinemas. “We look forward to a full schedule of exciting activities this year, and in years to come—always dedicated to our mission of spreading the magic of the movies through positive, creative and ground-breaking ideas.”
