Dubai Industrial Park to Highlight Key Role in Food and Beverage Industry at Gulfood 2019

Dubai Industrial Park (DI), one of the largest industrial hubs in Dubai and a member of TECOM Group, will highlight its key role in the food and beverage (F&B) industry during its participation at Gulfood 2019.

As part of its participation at the annual trade fair that runs from February 17 to 21 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, Dubai Industrial Park will release a whitepaper developed in collaboration with The Economist Intelligence Unit, and will host the first edition of DI Talks, a series of industry talks given by experts in their fields. The manufacturing hub’s participation in Gulfood is a reflection of its commitment to develop the industrial sector in Dubai and to achieve the goals of the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030, which has F&B as one of its priority subsectors.

Speaking on the participation, Saud Abu Al-Shawareb, Managing Director of Dubai Industrial Park, said: “The food and beverage sector, a key sector at Dubai Industrial Park, is one of the most important manufacturing sectors in the UAE. In an effort to showcase our solutions and successful business partners, we are participating at Gulfood to offer a knowledge sharing platform that enables learning and networking, and to help grow the industry. One of our main priorities is to meet the developing needs of our business partners and to help fast-track their growth and expansion through offering world-class value-added services and enabling them to succeed at a local and regional level.”

Reinforcing its position as a leading business enabler in the F&B manufacturing sector, Dubai Industrial Park has partnered with The Economist Intelligence Unit to develop a whitepaper titled “Global Food Trends to 2030: With a Closer Look at the GCC”. The paper, which shares key industry findings and discusses local and international food trends, from the manufacturing stage to the supply chain, in the context of food security, will be launched in a special event on the sidelines of Gulfood on February 18.

Dubai Industrial Park will also be hosting on its stand DI Talks, a series of talks with a focus on F&B manufacturing and business set up by experts in the fields.
