Dubai Courts implements fourth & final phase of Shoor initiative

Campaign to provide pro-bono legal consultation for litigation to satisfy customers

 

UAE, 25 February, 2015 - In a qualitative step to enhance the community's confidence in the judicial system, Dubai Courts has begun implementation of the fourth and final phase of its ‘Shoor’ initiative to be completed by the end of 2015. The drive aims to provide pro-bono legal consultations on various cases and lawsuits under the supervision of specialized lawyers. The Shoor initiative is the result of a solid strategic partnership between Dubai Courts and law firms to achieve excellence in providing legal services that provide full satisfaction and happiness to clients. (H.E.) / Expert Tarish Eid Al Mansouri, Director-General of Dubai Courts, said: “Our recent success in completing the third phase of the Shoor initiative is a result of the concerted efforts of our strategic partners from Dubai’s law firms who share our common vision of disseminating legal and judicial knowledge among social circles. We look at this particular initiative with confidence and optimism, as we consider it as a bridge to facilitate litigation and the provision of reliable consultations that support our endeavor to satisfy customers in line with the directions of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.” “Since its inception in 2012, the Shoor initiative has succeeded in gaining the confidence of clients who have expressed high levels of satisfaction for pro-bono legal consultations. We are moving at a steady pace to complete the final phase of this initiative, which will make a positive impact on the development of Dubai’s litigation system. We reaffirm our commitment to continuously cooperating with our law firm partners who have had a prominent role in supporting our vision of achieving ‘Leadership in Courts,’” concluded Al Mansouri. The Shoor imitative was launched in 2012 as a part of the efforts of Dubai Courts and law firms in the Emirate of Dubai to provide community services. In 2014, it began providing legal consultations on civil, labor, real estate and commercial litigations along with criminal and personal status cases. Upon completion by the end of 2015, the Shoor initiative will provide pro-bono consultations on all kinds of lawsuits, disputes, temporary and urgent matters, and implementation problems.
