The American Hospital Dubai has launched an exhibit showcasing global achievements in medical imaging at its Medical Imaging Department (MID) to celebrate World Radiology Day held every November 8th. The exhibit displays the evolution of medical imaging from the discovery of x-rays in 1895 to today’s medical technology advances including computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanning technologies.
Other activities include a section on radiation safety and MRI safety, screen savers of the different MID technologies, an opportunity to ‘Meet the Tech Team’ comprising six different sections and over 50 staff of 17 different nationalities, and a tour of the whole MID. Visitors will be given stickers and badges and will be accompanied by guides throughout the tour to answer questions.
