Al Dhaheri Jones & Clark embarks on a new journey post approval from Federal Tax Authority (FTA)

The company has been approved by The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) as a registered tax agent after meeting required standards, conditions and qualifications

Marking another milestone, Al Dhaheri Jones & Clark (ADJC) announced that it has been approved by The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) as a registered tax agent in the UAE after meeting the required standards, conditions and qualifications.

As one of the leading players of the industry, the approval is a testament of our strategic efforts and confirms our dedication to support FTA in its operations, whilst helping businesses in the UAE comply with Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations,” said Mohammed Fathy, General Manager of Al Dhaheri Jones & Clark.

VAT is a newly introduced concept in the UAE and it is worthwhile to use the services of registered tax agents to be able to comply with the regulations in an efficient manner. According to the FTA, registered tax agents not only possess advanced knowledge and technical expertise to help businesses, but also help strengthen the ties between the FTA and taxable businesses.

Over the past few month, ADJC has been helping more than 150 businesses comply with VAT regulations. The recent approval confirms its expert positioning, whilst helping its clients achieve tax compliance, manage records and file returns in a timely and effective manner.

“As tax agents we have an important role to play in supporting both FTA and businesses with compliance. As strategic partners, the approval from FTA serves as a strategic element to enhance and strengthen the relationship between the authority and taxable businesses in the UAE,” added Mohammed Fathy.

To be officially registered by FTA, tax agents are required to meet a set of mandatory standards to get registered, including havingthree years of experience in tax, accounting or law, and fluency in verbal and written English and Arabic, among other guidelines. The Authority reviews the applications received from tax agents and decides within 15 working days from the date of receiving the request to accept or reject the application.

While ADJC has received FTA's approval, the company’s high standards and specifications has steered its positioning, making it one of the key agents to be hosted on the FTA website.
