All-new BMW M4 Coupé powers into Lebanon

21 July 2014 - Beirut – Bassoul-Heneine sal, the BMW Group importer in Lebanon has further diversified its BMW portfolio with the introduction of the BMW M4 Coupé placing high value on powerful performance, quick response and individual driving dynamics on the roads like all BMW M vehicles.

The BMW M4 Coupé sees BMW M GmbH reveal a new interpretation of the high-performance sports car. It represents an on-going commitment to the M philosophy blending motor sport genes and uncompromised everyday usability within an emotionally rich overall concept. The ‘M4’ badge is also a reference to the new ‘4’ model series that provides the basis for the new M model.

Mr. Nagy Heneine, General Manager for Commercial Affairs at Bassoul-Heneine sal, said: “The M brand is known for its core values: dynamic, sporty; agile and high-performance. Its strong performance and fascinating history are going to appeal to our customers’ interest in high performance vehicles. We are confident that the new BMW M4 Coupe will live up to its performance pedigree on the roads of Beirut.”

The coupé is fitted with the high-revving six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology newly developed for the new BMW M4 Coupé. It produces a maximum output of 317 kW/431 hp with peak torque of 550 Newton metres (406 lb-ft) available across a wide rev band t. The BMW M4 Coupé covers the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h / 62 mph in 4.1 seconds (with the optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission).

The BMW M4 Coupé has a kerb weight of just 1,497 kilograms, thanks to the rigorous application of intelligent lightweight design measures. These include the increased use of lightweight materials such as carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and aluminium for a number of chassis and body components and a carbon roof.

One of the primary objectives in the development of the BMW M4 Coupé was to ensure the new car offers impressive race track capability. Hence the presence of a track-specification cooling system, which ensures that the optimum temperature balance for the engine, turbochargers and transmission is maintained at all times.
