Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities, environment, and energy management solutions in the GCC, participated today (Wednesday, February 24, 2016) in Jebel Ali Free Zone’s (JAFZA) Car Free Day. The company’s COO, Mahmood Rasheed, along with JAFZA’s senior management attended the ribbon cutting ceremony of the environmental exhibition organised as part of the Car Free Day activity.
During the exhibition, Imdaad threw the spotlight on its recycling opportunities through its flagship Be’ati Community Program and Khaddour – a fun-loving green leaf character and the mascot of Be’ati. Developed to promote the community’s involvement in green practices such as recycling, Khaddour elaborated on the program at Imdaad’s stand located in JAFZA parking numbers 14 and 15 from 9.00 am until 3.00 pm. Employees of Imdaad actively supported the initiative by being present at the exhibition. Also, they had expressed their affiliation to Dubai Municipality’s Car Free Day initiative by travelling in Dubai Metro and other modes of public transport on Sunday (February 21, 2016).
Jamal Abdullah Lootah, CEO, Imdaad, said: “As a strong supporter of environmental sustainability, Imdaad has always been engaged in initiatives and activities that promote green practices and JAFZA’s Car Free Day is a perfect opportunity for the company to contribute in reducing the world’s carbon footprints. We are happy to join in JAFZA’s initiative and participate in the environmental exhibition to showcase our innovative recycling solutions that promote sustainable living. Participation in such campaigns further reinforces our commitment to leave a clean and green planet for our future generation to live, explore and enjoy.”
Dedicated to the free zone community, JAFZA Car Free Day is organised in support of Dubai Car Free Day initiative undertaken by Dubai Municipality to raise awareness about fuel conservation, global warming, and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. As part of the initiative, JAFZA hosted several knowledge-based activities, fun-filled games, attractive giveaways and an environmental exhibition where all partners and clients showcased their green initiatives and solutions.
